I didn't take my own advice in the end, but I did make a mistake with my drivers and forgot to go with Kovalainen/Chandhok rather than Trulli/Senna. I've got Total fuel, Force and Renault, don't want to put all my eggs in the Force India basket just incase.

I've gone for the same Chassis/Engine setup with Force India and Renault, they just seem to be the best choice at the price I can afford at the moment. I have gone for Kovalainen as my 1st driver, alongside Bruno Senna. I've swapped my fuel though, I think Red Bull are too unreliable, Mark Webber broke down in practice and I don't think they are 100% sure as to what actually caused Vettel to retire in the last race. So I've gone for Mclaren fuel, since they seem strong at this race, their top speed advantage will really pay off here.

So my tip for this race is to avoid Trulli as he doesn't cope with hot races very well, and avoid Red Bull due to reliability.

Here are some tactics you guys might want to try...

What you need

-Assault Class (so you can resupply yourself with C4): Shotgun, C4, Extra Explosives Ammo, Extra Explosives Power

-Two or more friends with the same class

How to Win

Basically you need to sprint into an objective and lay down all your C4 on the MCOM station, then if you have time run away and blow it up, if you don't have time just blow it up and suicide. You need about 12 C4's to be placed on the station to kill it in one go, the best part is even if you die a stray bullet from any team can still kill the MCOM station. You might fail a few times, but all you need is a small window of opportunity and you will score an objective kill, and you get more points doing it this way, as you get a bonus for objective damage too.

Suicide vehicles

Kind of similar to the other strategy, but this time you only need to reach the objective for an instant win. Basically load up a quad bike with C4, then have a guy on the back with the detonater, drive into the MCOM station and suicide on it. This time you need around 24 C4's to kill it in one go, which usually means 2 runs, but quad bikes spawn quickly. If you're really organised you can do the same with a UAV. Load it up with C4 and land on an objective, the enemy will be so happy shooting you they won't realise they just killed their own objective by shooting the C4. Or you can wait for the guy with the detonater to hide within range, then he can detonate the C4, damaging the objective but not the UAV.

Quote from DevilDare :Last year the Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix was hit by heavy rain. See picture below. What colour flag was waved?

Are you serious?

It's a retarded question, there were lots of flags waved, all of them different colours and patterns. It's especially retarded considering the question they could have asked...

Which brand of soft drink was Kimi washing down his ice cream with while the other drivers sat in their soaking wet cars waiting for the race to restart?

Well this thread has quickly turned into a "who has the biggest karting cock?" competition (we all know intrepid is the biggest karting cock, no point discussing it). Just kidding intrepid I love you really, sort of, but not in a gay way, or a brotherly way, you know when you see a stray dog and you're all like "awwww poor thing", it's like that. Anyway, men, women, animals, aliens, it doesn't matter what or who is behind the wheel, if they lack basic knowledge and awareness then they are bad drivers. The way our society works means that women are more likely to fall into that category, because boys like cars and girls like dresses, tea parties and various other boring pink stuff.

Quote from BlueFlame :Also, Kobayashi, I think he took a knock which took off the front wing, I don't think it was an outright front wing failure, but it was a hell of a smash!

I'm not so sure, look at the wing supports and you can see a very clean break on the one that didn't take an impact in the accident. The break is exactly the same as the one in free practice when the wing failed, it's in the same place and it's the same shape. It didn't look like he had any obvious damage either, Schumachers wing stayed on despite his contact causing heavy damage to it.

Since we are talking about the radios so much, did anyone else enjoy Alonso telling his race engineer that he didn't want to know how close Hamilton was? I had a good laugh at that, not quite moment of the race for me, that was Di Grassi getting one back against Schumacher.

F1 forum just reminded me about Saubers wing failures, looking at it the wing fell off Kobayashi's car in the same way it did during free practice, there was a clean break part of the way down the support struts. Massive shunt though, so lucky nobody was hurt. I do think we should call him kamikaze Kamui Kobayashi though, even if it wasn't his fault, just because it's the perfect nickname.

Quote from JCTK :the infamous Hungary 2007 qualifying...

Ah yes, but that wasn't really him making a brave call, rather him being a child and ignoring his teams rules and compromising the teams performance out of arrogance or ignorence, or both.

Poor team play by Massa today, that will come back to hurt him later on in the season. Alonso was clearly faster and potentially good enough to take Kubica. Massa doesn't want to be creating any tension between himself and Alonso, because Ferrari won't be getting rid of Alonso if they are forced to make a choice between the two, especially if they can land Kubica in his place.

EDIT: @ Jertje, Button cried on the radio last year saying how terrible his car was on more than one occasion.

Quote from JCTK :the last time Lewis did his own thing, he got grilled by everyone too... lol

Which one was that? I remember the incident where he got stuck in the worlds smallest gravel trap after staying out on rubbish tyres too long, but I don't know if that was his call or not. Either way if the driver is not willing to make his own call at the time then they can't complain if the teams decision doesn't play out.

EDIT: You can't really compare the reactions of Vettel and Hamilton. Vettel was out of the race due to a mechanical failure, nothing he or the team could do about it, and he didn't talk to anyone for a short time afterwards, obviously waiting to clear his head and engage PR mode. Hamilton got on the radio out of frustration after driving a blinding race, obviously fueled by frustration and anger after a poor weekend on and off the track.

Quote from DoC_uk :I know they are saying that ther strat was wrong for lewis , but i wonder if with his more agressive driving style , weather he could have looked after his tires like jenson ?

Hamilton thrashed his car for the entire race, he rarely had more than 5 or 6 laps free to run his own line. Everyone knows following other cars and overtaking works your tyres much harder. But I think part of the problem is Hamilton doesn't seem to make calls based on what he thinks is best, if he didn't want to change tyres then he should say so, the same way Button called his pitstop when he wanted it. I thought he would have learnt that by now, F1 is not all about strategists in dark rooms looking at numbers on a monitor, the person behind the wheel has the most information.

Looks like my choices were good this time, I think we should try and share the reasons we made our choices so that we definately win the subleague competition, since it's actually close this time.

I went from the Hispania drivers because they were cheap and allowed me to choose better teams for engine and chassis, and it also allowed me to go with the best fuel. I picked Force India because they are pretty reliable and they are up there with the best of the rest. I choose Renault based on Petrov doing quite well in the friday practices, Kubica always goes well, but if a rookie can go fast you know their car is working well.

Here are the rules I try to remember when choosing my team, feel free to add to them or disagree with me...

1. Red Bull are unreliable and rarely make the most of their pace due to poor strategy.

2. Mclaren perform better in the races than they do in qualifying.

3. Mark Webber makes bad decisions.

4. If you have to pick an unreliable team, pick the cheapest one.

5. Don't put all your eggs in one basket (last race of the season last year, damn Mclaren).

6. Qualifying matters, you get a lot of points for qualifying positions.

7. Alonso and Kubica are very reliable and get more out of the car than they should do at times.

8. Ignore practice times from Williams and Sauber, they are prone to running light to get headlines and sponsors. (added Sauber to the list for this year after winter testing)

9. Ferrari win the boring races.

10. Mclaren have the best development over a season.

Fantastic race, perhaps we can have mandatory rain at the start of each race rather than mandatory pitstops. Great drive by Button, drive of the day for me is easily Kubica, best overtaking goes to Hamilton. Once again the few truths I always try to remember serve me well in my fantasy F1, Red Bull are unreliable and have poor strategy, Mclaren are faster in the race than in qualifying, Alonso and Kubica are solid and get more out of their cars than they really should, and Mark Webber creates his own bad luck with poor choices on and off the track.

Stayed up all night, helped by the clocks going forward an hour. I liked the way Webber dodged an interview with Eddie Jordan while he was on his way to the grid, nobody would hold that against him.

I have never commented on goals he has scored, the conversation usually goes like this..."wow, he runs like a girl, or at least a very camp man on a frozen lake, oh did he score? I didn't notice on account of his girly running".

Quote from Noccy :In 2006, Australia organized the Commonwealth games.

I didn't even have to google that one! The choices are hard, but it seems the best tactic is to go with the two cheapest drivers so you can get better teams for the rest of the categories. I've gone for Renault and Force India with Total fuel.

Quote from G!NhO :Where does it say that they are supposed to be balanced?

It makes sense, everything needs to be balanced otherwise everyone will pick the same weapons. The main change they need to make is to force noobtubers to lose a perk slot, and make sure they lose scavenger and one man army, because at the moment the just act like artillery, not even the blast shields and riot shields can stop them.
